Forest Holidays supports The National Forest

The National Forest Company was delighted to receive a cheque for £17,190, presented as a charitable donation by Moira-based Forest Holidays at a recent event to mark the first anniversary of the two companies working together.

The National Forest turns 25 in 2016 and the National Forest Company (NFC) is inviting everyone who lives or works in – or visits – The National Forest, to help create a snapshot of the Forest. Everyone is invited to send in images, video, music or words and share what the Forest means to them.

It may have been wet but it definitely wasn’t a washout at the National Forest Wood Fair at Beacon Hill Country Park on Monday. Visitors turned out in their thousands for this popular event, an annual celebration of The National Forest and all things tree and timber related.

Spirits were undampened at the tenth anniversary National Forest Wood Fair

Two thousand visitors enjoyed the National Forest Wood Fair at Beacon Hill Country Park, Leicestershire, on Bank Holiday Monday. Despite the rain, spirits remained undampened and everyone enjoyed the quality wood products, lumberjack displays, chainsaw carvers, horse logging and tree climbing.
