National Forest Hedgerow Tree packs

National Forest Hedgerow Tree Packs

The National Forest Company in partnership with the Woodland Trust are offering free hedgerow tree packs to provide landowners with new trees for existing hedgerows in The National Forest. This is primarily to replace the expected loss of ash trees, currently common in our hedgerows, as they succumb to ash dieback, but also other species affected by old age and disease. This will ensure hedgerow trees continue to benefit our landscape and wildlife well into the future.

If you are a landowner in The National Forest we have up to 30 hedgerow tree packs available. You will need to order your pack before the end of September 2017 and collect the tree pack in November, details of the pick-up location will be confirmed nearer the time.

If you are not in the Forest, the Woodland Trust has packs available elsewhere for which there is a cost of around 60.
